In anticipation of our upcoming beach trip, I decided why not share my Beach Packing List. Click the link for a printable version.
I am a huge fan of lists. Who isn’t? I love them! I make lists for everything. To-do lists, packing lists, shopping lists. To be completely honest, I depend on lists so much because I can’t remember squat.
This list is obviously made by me for my family (husband, wife, 2 teenagers, their friends, preschooler, and a toddler) so everything on it may not apply to you. You may not need the diapers and wipes, or any of the other baby stuff on my list. You may also choose to rent chairs and umbrellas at the beach instead of taking them with you. I understand some people would rather not deal with the hassle of hauling that kind of stuff around. All good and fine. Just cross it off. I also left extra spaces in case you need to add anything that I may not of thought of.
I have baby powder listed under beach essentials for an extremely good reason. Not sure if you know this or not, but it is amazing for getting sand off of little hands. You just sprinkle a little on their hands, rub them together, and the sand falls off like magic. It is a lifesaver when my kids want a snack so they aren’t eating sand along with it.
You may also think a power strip sounds weird, but I carry one with me every time we travel and this is why. There are never enough plugs to be found for all of the chargers that we have. My husband and I each have a phone to charge, both little ones have iPads, my camera has a charger, and so on. It is so easy to just pack a power strip and plug it in for everything.
Let me know if you think of anything I may have forgotten. And hopefully some of you may find this checklist helpful.
